Celestia, as I imagined her in The Immortal Game

As usual, I'm not at all satisfied
with this image, but, also as usual, if I don't post it now, I'll just half-heartedly poke at it for the rest of my natural lifetime.
This was a bit of a pain in the ass. This is where I usually say this was created entirely on my Nexus 7, but that's not technically true this time. All of the art
was done there, but about halfway through, Sketchbook crashed and the recovery thing ate the layer with the sword on it. So the final image is a combination of a few exported images from various versions of the file. Since Sketchbook Express won't export with alpha, and because I'm too lazy to work out how to extract layers from an Alias MultiLayer TIFF
, I just created a poor man's alpha mask by exporting the layers I needed on black, once with color, and once after using alpha-lock and painting the entire layer white, and then rebuilding the final image in the GIMP. (The mask is inverted and multiplied with the layers below, the color layer is then set to additive, to simulate the same process used when compositing layers with premultiplied alpha)
